I've been able to run on some pretty technical trails in these, and they've done well. The grip is fantastic, and I've been able to move with more confidence over wet rocks and roots than in other shoes. They seem to breathe well, and dry out relatively quickly as well. I haven't had them long enough to judge their durability.
There are two warnings with these shoes though:
1.) They run large. I got a pair a half size smaller than usual, and they still feel wide in the toe area, which takes some getting used to.
2.) The tongue design has no padding, and since the tongue runs up higher on the ankle, the edge of the tongue can drive into the skin. After one run with these the tongue had rubbed a small area of skin raw. The solution is to run with socks that go up over the ankle, but not the best design choice for a shoe.
All in all, a good pair of shoes, but not perfect.
N.B. An added bonus of buying the bright yellow pair is that you will no longer require a headlamp. The color alone is enough to light up the trail.

Fantastic running shoe -- great on the hills, and great on the treadmill. Tread has excellent grip, the uppers are durable and hug my ankles securely, yet the shoes still feel light. The mesh allows for great circulation, but will let in dust and moisture - that's a small complaint though. Great looking shoe (I have the black and white) -- would definitely buy these again.

I am going to start with the one thing that I consider negative about this shoe. The upper material could be softer. Right now it digs into my foot and a softer upper with more cushioning could remedy the problem. This isn't a huge problem, just a bit of an annoyance.
Now for the good. These are some great trail shoes. The tread lugs are really solid and give confidence on extremely steep ascents and descents. My first run in these shoes was on Hogsback Mountain in Durango, Colorado. These shoes performed well on gradients of more than 45% (granted I was walking most of these extremely steep sections). I felt confident in the traction these shoes provided.
The fit. I feel as if these shoes fit true to size, if not slightly big. I think they are meant to be a little roomier. I wear a size 12 Wide in the majority of my running shoes. These shoes fit perfectly for me. Although they are roomy shoes, I would NOT recommend sizing up. The lacing system locks your foot down well so that it does not slip.
This shoe is great for wide feet (even though the picture does not particularly portray this fact). It does not have a "foot shape" like some brands, but it is definitely wide enough for 95% of feet in the world.
I sell shoes at a local running specialty store (no TNF shoes though), and these are probably one of the best trail shoes I've seen/worn.
tl;dr Great, solid trail shoes. Fit true to size. Comfortable for the most part, and durable so far. Get these
