Men's Vests

When we are talking about vests, we mean outdoor styles ready for the hiking trail or mountainside.  However, that doesn't mean you can't wear one with your everyday clothing.  In fact, men's puffer vests are very much in style right now.  Our Retro Nuptse Vest is, by far, our most popular style, but don't miss our Aconcagua and Hydrenalite vests.
 

While down vests offer the best warmth, a men's fleece vest is a great choice when you want something more lightweight.  Our Denali vest is made from Polartec® fleece and will help keep you dry thanks to the water-repellent finish.  Our Yumiori vest features high pile fleece and has several pockets to stash small items like gloves or keys.

No matter what style you choose, a vest looks great with everything from casual pants to jeans.  Popular pairing choices include a solid color long-sleeve shirt underneath or a solid color vest with a plaid button-down shirt. 

For a rugged, outdoor look, pair a vest with a flannel shirt, jeans, and hiking boots.  For a more polished look, consider wearing a turtle neck under the vest.

Vests are ideal for cooler days such as those in fall or spring.  They can be worn in mild winter conditions, but are probably not best for bitter cold.  That is when a parka or a winter coat should be worn.

Vests are designed to keep your core warm without restricting movement in your arms.  For that reason, they are a go-to choice for bicycling, running, fishing, camping, and hiking.  Unlike a bulky coat, they allow for freedom of movement to set up a tent, use hiking poles, cycle the trail, cast a line, and scramble up a boulder.
