HKE Collection

Designed with visionary tech and high end materials, The North Face HKe collection (HKe stands for Hiking Equipment) is made for those drawn to places few find - and fewer follow.  Serious hikers and backpackers who never want to stop exploring.  

HKe products use two types of technology:  SPECTRA® and Flashdry™.  SPECTRA® is abrasion-resistant and 15 times stronger than steel by weight which means you get lightweight durability without sacrificing performance.  Flashdry™ is our most versatile moisture-wicking technology.  This unique combination adds elevated functionality and strength to trusted weatherproof protection.  Other materials you may find in the collection include GORE-TEX®.

The HKe Devils Thumb GTX Jacket and the HKe Tek Approach Jacket both feature recycled fabrics, helping you connect more with nature inside - and out.  The HKe Utility Wind Jacket is designed to keep you comfortable while the water-repellent finish provides additional protection from the elements.

HKe is more versatile for regular trekking.  Summit Series, while also high-performance gear, is designed more for extreme and high-altitude expeditions.
