About Women's Backpacks at The North Face
Wondering why we offer women-specific backpack styles of our classics like the Recon, Borealis, Surge, and Jester? The reason is so that you can find backpacks that better fit a woman's anatomy. Our women's packs feature a shorter torso height, narrower shoulder area, and a FlexVent™ suspension system that has been certified by the American Chiropractic Association.
In hiking packs, a women-specific style may include sternum straps and hip belts that are adjustable to better fit curves and distribute weight more efficiently.
The end result of these design differences should be less chafing, digging, and awkward shifting.
