Men's Soft Shells

Softshell jackets are made from stretchy, breathable fabrics designed to be comfortable while on the move.  Softshell jackets may be wind-resistant and/or water-repellent, but they are not fully waterproof.  Jackets with a waterproof membrane, including breathable waterproof and windproof styles, are considered hardshell.

Men's softshell jackets are great for high-output outdoor activities like uphill hiking and climbing.  They offer lightweight protection that doesn't weigh you down.  The materials in softshells tend to be stretchy as well as quieter when you move (think less "crinkle" noises).  These jackets are not typically stormproof.  If rain is in the forecast, opt for a raincoat instead.
