More About Men's Winter Coats
Ranging in sizes from XXS to 5XL, men’s winter jackets from The North Face will keep you warm whether you’re roaming the city or a mountain summit.
The cold weather should deter you from exploring the great outdoors. A good cold-weather jacket, paired with a warm men's hat and gloves, can make all the difference. It will keep the hot air trapped close to your body, without overheating you in the process. The best types of winter jackets for men are the ones that don’t weigh you down and restrict your movement. However, they also look good while being functional. The North Face winter coats for men provide all of that and more.
The North Face has a variety of warm jackets for men to accommodate anything from ski getaways to hiking expeditions. Each has a different set of features to battle various weather conditions:
Down insulation. This natural material is ideal for both heavy-duty and everyday coats. For instance, the extreme cold-weather jacket, the Summit Series CLOUD DOWN AMK Parka, has 1000 fill ProDown™. This is a lightweight coat that is easy to pack and keeps you safe in the most unforgiving conditions. Other models, like the Aconcagua 3 Jacket, combine recycled polyester with down to create a midweight jacket that transitions seamlessly from the hike to the city.
Water repellent. The North Face uses DWR coating on the full jackets, coats, and parkas. This treatment to the fabrics acts as a barrier against water, causing it to bead up and roll right off.
Wind protection. Some men's winter jackets have a wind-resistant WINDWALL™ fabric. Those include the THERMOBALL™ Hooded Jacket and the TNF™ Red Box Down Jacket. This blocks the wind chill from penetrating, providing another layer of protection. We employ the same technology in our windbreakers for men.
There are numerous options to choose from that can cater to your specific needs. Most notably, the men's winter jackets are built with durable materials, made to last.
There are insulated jackets of all kinds to keep you warm when winter winds blow. Grab a down parka jacket for all the warmth of a peacoat without the heavyweight wool blend. Plus, you can add some interest to your look with a faux-fur trim hood or fun colors. A quilted, hooded puffer jacket is a perfect versatile jacket, great for city wear or the backcountry winter trails. We even offer two-way reversible jackets, if you like to switch things up. Snowsports enthusiasts will need a snowboarding or ski jacket to keep out the powder spray. If you live in a warmer climate, a midweight anorak or rain jacket might be just what you need for the cooler winter months.
