They run big as Sasquatch so size down a full size. I use them on the way to ice climbs, mountaineering, around town and to cubicle land :(
They do it all and keep you warm. Just don't wear them during the activities, they are not for hiking, mountaineering, ice climbing, ect. Warm and cozy after a day of suffering though.

Recently was in temperatures between -16 to 12 degrees F for a week. Feet were always warm. I also feel comfortable wearing these out or in the office. They are a good look and are lightweight.

I am a big fan of the original Ballard 6" and was really hoping that the Ballard II would be closer to the original. The Ballard II is much lighter in the sole weight and thickness of the leather. The leather scuffs much more easily and the boot just seems much less durable. It is a decent boot for casual or dressy wear, but it is completely unsuitable for any kind of hiking or other "off road" use. The original Ballard 6" was absolutely perfect and I hope North Face brings it back!
