About The North Face Women's Vests
Vests are ideal for keeping your core warm without restricting your arms. They are particularly ideal for layering and for activities like hiking, backpacking, trail running, cycling, climbing, golf, and dog walking particularly in the shoulder seasons (spring and fall).
Puffer Vests: Insulated with down or synthetic materials, puffy vests are great for cold, dry conditions and casual warmth during low-to-moderate activity. They are warm for their weight but down can lose warmth when wet.
Fleece Vests: Fleece vests are great for layering and are a good choice for moderate activity. They are breathable, cozy, and can be worn when slightly damp. They are not typically windproof so wearing under a shell jacket is key.
Softshell Vests: Made from softer, stretchy materials, softshell vests are ideal for windy and cool conditions where mobility is important (hiking, climbing). They may be water-resistant but are not typically waterproof.
