Our time. Our future.

We’re committed to powering exploration and testing the outer limits of performance while helping restore and support the natural ecosystems our business—and the future—depends on.

Our Commitments

Nature is at the heart of what we do. It’s why we created four actionable commitments guided by science-based targets set by our parent company, VF.

1. Sustainable Materials

We aim for our top five highest greenhouse gas emissions materials to be recycled, responsibly-sourced renewable and/or regeneratively grown across all of our product categories by 2030.

2. Supplier Engagement

We’re committed to reducing our product impacts by partnering with suppliers on reducing the greenhouse gas emissions intensity per product we produce by 50% by 2030.

3. Circularity

Circularity means keeping resources, like used products or fabric scraps, in use at the highest value possible. By revolutionizing our materials, processes and supply chain through this lens, we can work together to give old gear new adventures.

Our North America
Owned-or-Leased Footprint

While reducing our direct impact is the first priority, since 2007 we have purchased third-party verified carbon offsets for greenhouse gas emissions we have not been able to eliminate, and we also offset the emissions from our US business travel and employee commuting through projects that include protecting and restoring forests. We purchase Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) to offset electricity consumption in our owned or leased buildings. Information on our carbon offsets can be found here.

Our Industry Engagement

We collaborate as members of various industry organizations to advance toward common sustainability goals, share learnings, and drive environmental progress throughout our industry:

Our Packaging Efforts

We remain committed to reducing the use of single-use plastic in our packaging. We’ve reduced our use of virgin plastic in packaging by converting our polybags to recycled plastic, most accessories that ship to and from our East Coast distribution center are now polybag-free, and in the United Kingdom we remove and recycle polybags before online orders are shipped to consumers. As we continue our work, we’re prioritizing efforts in areas with the greatest potential for environmental impact, especially within our product manufacturing.
