THE NORTH FACE EXPLORE FUND
We at The North Face love the outdoors. It’s in our DNA and
defines us as company. Our desire to share this passion is the
catalyst behind The North Face® Explore Fund™. By giving back through
these annual grants we seek to inspire and enable the next generation
of outdoor explorers and conservationists.
Explore Fund grant recipients include nonprofit organizations
working in powerful and creative ways to encourage participants to
experience outdoor activities and develop an enduring appreciation of
the outdoors. A small sample of the work being done by grantees includes:
- Outdoor education and outing programs for youth from
underserved communities that provide exposure to outdoor activities
and build skills for life success.
- Clinics and camps to
help make the outdoors available to people with adaptive needs.
- Comprehensive, ongoing mentoring partnerships with urban schools
to support student success through a number of programs, including
- A range of innovative and exciting
programs connecting youth and families to the outdoors, their
communities and the environment through activities that embody the
spirit of adventure represented by The North Face. Program
activities include biking, kayaking, rock climbing, snowboarding,
hiking, camping and more.
Since its founding in 2010, the Explore Fund has supported more
than 350 grassroots organizations serving well over 100,000 young
people in communities around the country. The Explore Fund reflects a
significant commitment by The North Face to introduce more people to
the joy of exploring the outdoors and the natural world.
