TOM WALLISCH
FREESKIER / SLOPESTYLE
Tom Wallisch’s career as one of freeskiing’s most accomplished and innovative athletes did not exactly begin “by the book.” For starters, he grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, far from the resort scene that produces many of the talented rippers that dominate the industry. And in the days when Youtube was just emerging, he moved to Park City, UT, and made a name for himself with a series of high-octane video edits. Since then, he has landed major video parts, won countless slopestyle competitions, and raised the bar across the board. To that end, he recently set the world for longest rail grind (424 feet!) and we have no doubt that he’ll continue to push the limits of what’s possible.
- Guinness World Record Holder for the longest rail grind at 424 feet
- Two-time X-Games Gold Medalist
- FIS World Champion, 2013
- Dew Tour winner, 2012
- ESPN Action Sport Athlete of the year, 2012
- Two-time top AFP-ranked slopestyle skier
