RORY BOSIO
RUNNER
While other ultrarunners stick to highly scientific approaches to training and nutrition, Rory Bosio prefers to keep things simple and fun. After all, why run at all if you’re not passionate about it? Bosio’s passion has definitely shone through in her performances though, bagging podium finishes at plenty of prestigious events along the way. She made a big splash when she came out of nowhere to win the Ultra-Trail Du Mont-Blanc at her first attempt in 2013, and followed it up with another win the next year, quieting any doubters that remained. Even with her success at the highest level, she keeps her training enjoyable with a mix of skiing, hiking, yoga, and general goofing off between races. She even has a Beer Mile overall win to her name, so you know she doesn’t take herself too seriously.
