How do I wash a women’s fleece to prevent pilling and restore matted fabric?

Always follow the garment label's care instructions before washing. We recommend washing fleece jackets and vests every 6-7 wears, unless they become visibly dirty.

Preparation: Close all zips, turn the fleece inside out and brush off any loose dirt.

Washing: Use a cool, gentle machine cycle with mild detergent.

Restoring Softness: Air dry completely. If high-pile or sherpa fleece becomes slightly matted after washing, use a clean slicker brush or soft comb to gently fluff the fibres back to life.

Are fleece jackets windproof, or will cold wind blow through them?

Whilst breathable, standard fleece is not windproof. Its lofted fibres trap warm air effectively, but wind can still pass through and increase heat loss, making you feel colder than the actual temperature. For better wind resistance, look for fleece with WindWall™ technology, which is designed to block wind without sacrificing breathability or comfort.
