New in men's clothing this season

New does not mean different for the sake of it. Most of what lands here is a familiar piece that has been quietly improved: a fabric that breathes better under load, a hood that finally sits right over a helmet, a hem that stops riding up when you reach. Some of it is genuinely new, insulation that holds its loft longer, membranes that let more vapour out without letting weather in, constructions that shave weight without giving up durability. The rest is the stuff we make every year because it works and there is no honest reason to change it. What ties it together is that none of it arrives untested. Kit gets used somewhere cold, wet or steep before it gets a name, and the pieces that come back with problems do not make it this far. Come here at the start of a season and you will find layers, shells and mid-weights. Come mid-season and it will look different again. For the full range across tops, bottoms and outerwear, browse our men's clothing and gear.

New men's shoes, just landed

Footwear moves more slowly than clothing and that is deliberate, because a sole unit takes years to get right and there is nothing to gain from rushing it. When something new does land, it is usually because a compound grips better in the wet, a midsole holds its rebound longer, or an upper has found a way to be lighter without splitting at the flex point. Sizing carries over between updates more often than not, though a redesigned last will change how a shoe feels even at the same size, so check the fit rather than assuming. If you are replacing a pair you liked, look at what actually wore out first, whether that was tread, upper or cushioning, and use that to decide whether the update solves your problem or someone else's. Everything currently available sits in our men's shoes and footwear.
