When I first got my jacket in the mail and put it on I thought there was no way it was going to be warm enough-it feels like picking up a feather. Thankfully I have been since proven wrong and the jacket keeps me warm and dry through the damp Portland chill. Love the hood, too-doesn't blow backwards in strong wind. All around love this jacket!

I must say I thought the jacket was beautiful, until I looked at the bottom. Most people are not bothered by spandex,or stretchy material, however on the bottom of a coat to me it won't work. I felt the insert on the bottom right and left of the jacket took away from the beauty of the jacket, especially because I chose the blue color. I am a seamstress and it is well known that over time stretchy fabric, spandex type fabrics loose their shape and definition. That is why I returned this jacket. I also had wished that in the photos the panels were photoed better so that I might have made a more informed choice.

Our family of four wear North Face outerwear, trading the kids' coats in sometimes to get a larger size as they grow, so I am happy to report that I LOVE this jacket! We are experiencing record low wind chills & temperatures in Indiana, and this coat keeps me toasty warm, while allowing me freedom of movement for outdoor activities. Our Indanapolis North Face store staff are amazing, always knowledgeable and truly want to match your needs with the right coat. I got the coat in the silver/gray, as my other North Face coats are black; only wish I would have gotten it in blue instead! A great coat for the price.

    Color choice

I wanted the corral color I got it and could see the feathers thru the jacket. From a distance it looks dirty because of this. I went to the North Face store to return (I bought it online) but all the others colors were the same way. So pretty much black is the only color to get in this coat.
