Gear Bags

All participants have the option to leave personal belongings and extra gear at the Finish Festival Area while running.

A perforated bag tag is provided at the bottom of your race bib. Please bring your bag, labeled with the provided tag, to the Gear Check booth before the start of the race. Event staff will place it in a secure location for pickup post-race.

Drop bags on-course are ONLY allowed for 50 Mile participants at locations specified in the course guides. Please see the course guide for additional gear check information.

Meet and Greet with Dean Karnazes

On Saturday, The North Face Global Athlete Team Member, Dean Karnazes, will be answering questions, taking photos and signing autographs at The North Face Retail booth at the Finish Line Festival.

Stop by to meet the Ultramarathon Man himself.

See the event weekend schedule for times.

Kids Race

For those too young to enter the Endurance Challenge, the Kids’ Race provides a fun, supervised way for kids to join in the action on race day.

Dean Karnazes will lead the way on a 1K course alongside some notable characters, including Elsa, Olaf, SpongeBob SquarePants, Kevin the Minion, Buzz Lightyear, Big Bird and Elmo, to name a few.

Registration is free and parents can sign up race day at the Kids’ booth. See the Event Weekend Schedule above for race times.

All kids’ race participants receive a medal and free finisher photo from Ultra Race Photos, the Official Race Photographer for the series. Parents must include a legible email address to receive the free photo code.

Food and Beverage

All 50 Mile, 50K and Marathon participants will receive a free meal ticket on their race bib, redeemable at the Catering booth. Food for spectators, other participants and Sunday participants is available for sale at the Concessions booth and throughout the Village.

Please bring cash if you plan to purchase additional beer or food.

Runner Recovery

In the Runner Recovery area, participants can refuel and rejuvenate their muscles with a free massage and ice baths.

Finish Chute

You have been dedicated, trained hard and passed under the Red arch for the final time; now it’s time to party.

Once you’ve received your finisher medal and water bottle, runners will find a smorgasbord of the usual post-run fare like bananas, oranges, energy bars, electrolyte drink, snacks and more.

We ask all spectators to stay out of the immediate finishing area to allow the runners ample space to slow down and recover. Family and friends may greet their runner after he or she has exited the finish chute.

Weather in Blue Mountain this time of year is generally cool, with an average high of 70 degrees and an average low of 52 degrees. Please be prepared and bring the appropriate clothing and accessories.

Overall Awards

The North Face prizes and medals will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each of the six solo race distances. Overall awards and medals will also be given to the first place all-men's, all-women's and co-ed Marathon Relay teams.

We encourage other runners and spectators to stay for the awards ceremonies and support the finishing athletes. If you are unable to attend the awards ceremony, you may pickup your award early at the Awards booth. Unclaimed awards will NOT be mailed.
