For more than 50 years, The North Face has empowered people to push their boundaries in the outdoors. Today, we are enabling the future of all exploration by celebrating creators, athletes, educators, innovators. Relentless and unexpected explorers—role models who move mountains.

For over a century, Girl Scouts of the USA has led the way for girls in the outdoors. Today we are proud to launch an initiative where together, we will inspire, prepare and mobilize the next generation of female explorers.

This outdoor adventure collaboration will provide girls, regardless of socioeconomic status, with outdoor experiences that will enhance their leadership skills and confidence and encourage them to seek out new challenges. The core of this initiative is support for GSUSA to create twelve new Outdoor Adventure badges, with a program that includes activities ranging from mountaineering and climbing, to backpacking, hiking and trail running. This program will roll out over the next two years and will help girls of all ages realize their leadership potential while simultaneously increasing the visibility of female role models for girls nationwide.

While the Outdoor Adventure Badge Program is the cornerstone of the initiative, we will also be developing unique experiences that support our shared goal to enable the next generation of female explorers. Stay tuned for updates on our work with the Girl Scouts!
