After your run, listen to some great music and load up on food and refreshments. A true family event, the Finish Line Festival offers free samples, product trials, demonstrations and prizes from The North Face, GORE-TEX®, Sierra Nevada, and more!

All participants have the option to leave personal belongings and extra gear at the Finish Festival Area while running.

A perforated bag tag is provided at the bottom of your race bib. Please bring your bag, labeled with the provided tag, to the Gear Check booth before the start of the race. Event staff will place it in a secure location for pickup post-race.

For those too young to enter the Endurance Challenge, the Kids’ Race provides a fun, supervised way for kids to join in the action on race day.

Dean Karnazes will lead the way on a 1K course alongside some notable characters, including Elsa, Olaf, SpongeBob SquarePants, Kevin the Minion, Buzz Lightyear, Big Bird and Elmo, to name a few.

Registration is free and parents can sign up race day at the Kids’ booth. See the Event Weekend Schedule above for race times.

A Beer Garden will be provided for spectators and participants to enjoy an adult beverage after the race. The first beer is FREE for all race participants.

GORE-TEX® Runner Recovery

In the GORE-TEX® Runner Recovery area, participants can refuel and rejuvenate their muscles with a free massage, ice baths and test the latest products engineered with GORE-TEX® fabric that are durably waterproof and windproof, combined with optimized breathability.

Finish Chute

You have been dedicated, trained hard and passed under the Red arch for the final time; now it’s time to party.

Once you’ve received your finisher medal and water bottle, runners will find a smorgasbord of the usual post-run fare like bananas, oranges, energy bars, electrolyte drink, snacks and more.

We ask all spectators to stay out of the immediate finishing area to allow the runners ample space to slow down and recover. Family and friends may greet their runner after he or she has exited the finish chute.

Weather in Washington D.C. this time of year is generally warm and humid. Please be prepared and bring the appropriate clothing and accessories.
