Introducing The North Face Renewed Take-Back
Give your old The North Face gear a new life.

We’re working to keep resources in use and out of landfills as we strive to help protect the places we love to explore. To do this, we’re making strides toward a circular ecosystem.
The first step? We’re going all in on takebacks. Bring your used The North Face gear to our retail or outlet stores and we’ll ship them to The North Face Renewed. Here, gear is given a second chance. It’s inspected, washed, tuned up and ready to be resold to hit the trail—again. If your gear can’t be repaired, we’ll recycle or donate it as part of our commitment to circularity.

Join XPLR Pass™ and when you trade in your old gear, you’ll receive a $10 credit, valid online and in stores*. See your store associate for more details and terms.
More sustainable exploration (and complete circularity) starts with better designs. Our first Circular Design products, crafted to be recyclable at the end of their usable lives, are launching in Fall 2022. The entire life cycle of this gear has been considered. From selecting materials that help us minimize waste to designing products in a way that helps maximize the recyclability of the components, this gear is built to live on after a life on the trails.
In stores, this gear will feature a “Circular Design” hangtag making them easy to spot. They’ll provide information on the specific product, plus where you can go to our site to learn more about our commitments to help leave the earth better for future generations.
