Jon Albon

At the age of 20 Jon took up running as a way to keep fit, using his commute to and from work in London as his main form of training. Fancying a challenge, he started competing in some events and through the years found himself at obstacle, orienteering, road, mountain, trail, and sky races.

It wasn’t until a fateful move to Norway, to live with his soon to be wife, that he became a full-time athlete and started to add international victories to his growing list of wins within Great Britain. In a quest to discover his potential, he went on to compete in and win world championships, series, and cups across many different disciplines, over a variety of different distances.

Through running he developed a deep connection with nature and found himself more at home in forests and mountains than in cities and towns. Moving further north to Romsdalen he would take the next steps in developing his alpine skills, becoming an all-round mountain athlete with a passion for climbing, scrambling and ski mountaineering in addition to running.
