Water follows the path of least resistance, which is funny, because Austin Smith chose to go against the flow when he cofounded Drink Water, a media project dedicated to encouraging kids to make healthier choices by drinking water and helping communities around the world to source safe drinking water. While the project has become a runaway success, the Bend, OR, local was already a rising star in the snowboarding world, with a reputation as an exceptionally talented allrounder. Austin continues to draw plenty of attention with his mind bending video parts season after season, including this winter’s Energy, produced by his own Drink Water brand.
