Jess Roskelley
Alpine Climber
Jess Roskelley grew up in Washington and spent his childhood adventuring with his family throughout the Pacific Northwest. In 2003 at the age of 20, he summited Mount Everest with his father, who was one of the best American mountaineers of his era. After experiencing how hard it was for his father to balance climbing with having a family, Jess never expected that climbing would become a big part of his own life. But as he steadily became obsessed with climbing, he finally understood his father’s addiction to mountaineering. In fact, spending time in the mountains enables Jess to retreat from the chaos of everyday life and find balance.
