Description
As a member of the eCommerce management
team, the Merchandising Manager provides direction and vision to develop and
execute merchandising strategy to maximize sales. Provides dynamic leadership
to positively impact business initiatives and brings a track record in managing
successful eCommerce businesses and proven experience in merchandising. Some of your duties will include:

Oversees
merchandising, financials, photography as well as work closely with marketing
on email, search and site content and other outbound communication
strategies. Strong knowledge of
competitive and industry environment needed.
§
Develops
business plans that drive eCommerce sales by conceptualizing and executing long
and short-term strategies.
Responsible for achieving financial objectives for the department.
§
Oversees
seasonal buy process. Works with
merchants to develop buy plans and meet buy deadlines.
§
Building
and maintaining positive internal relationships with marketing, sales,
RD&D, retail and business planning counterparts. Manage external cross functional relationships with outside
agencies.
§
Works
closely with business planning to monitor flow of goods from overseas to
ecommerce warehouse. Oversee
inventory maintenance and synchronization of inventory data between internal
systems.
§
Provides
insight and guidance on site merchandising based on industry and competitor
knowledge.
§
Oversees
seasonal photography process.
Submit budgeting and work with photography team to execute product
photography shoots, as well as oversee upload as well as oversee delivery of
images to site.
Requirements:
We are looking for an individual with
a BA/BS degree in Business, Retail Merchandising, or related field and a
minimum of 10+ years of relevant, multi-functional and progressively
responsible retail or ebusiness experience to include at least 7 years of
direct P&L responsibility with outstanding track record in meeting financial
goals and well as marketing a brand successfully through a retail channel. 5+ years in management at retail
industry-leading companies with specialty store and chain store background are
needed. Merchandising, inventory
management, financial planning/analysis skills, strong team leader and
progressive thinker with experience managing large divisions and motivating at
all levels to achieve sales and profit objectives, and a demonstrated ability
to develop and drive strategy independently within an organization focused upon
wholesale business concerns. Understanding of the
following systems: AS400, SAP, IBM Websphere Accelerator, Web Analytics
(Coremetrics), and other web based systems. Travel is required.
