07 APRIL 08 - The North FaceŽ Athletes, Eneko and Iker Pou, to Share Their Recent Climbing Adventures With People of Arco and Sirtori, in Northern Italy
Renowned climbers, and The North FaceŽ athletes, Eneko and Iker Pou, will give free presentations and climbing demonstrations on Friday, 18 April at venues in the town of Arco, including the climbing stadium, the local The North FaceŽ retail store, and the central piazza.
The schedule for the day is as follows:
15:00 Arco Climbing Stadium—free opportunity to climb alongside Eneko and Iker
18:00 The North FaceŽ retail store—meet-and-greet with fans and climbing enthusiasts
21:00 Arco Piazza—free presentation about the Pou Brother’s recent adventures
The Pou brothers will direct their exciting multimedia presentation at youth, encouraging young people to explore and seek adventure in the outdoors. In an era where youth are spending an increasing amount of time indoors, sitting in front of the television, computer and video game monitor, The North FaceŽ looks to its athletes to serve as positive role models, by inspiring kids to get outside and get active.
Brothers from northern Spain, Eneko and Iker are fresh off the final success of their five-year Seven Walls/Seven Continents Tour. On Christmas Day 2007, Eneko and Iker celebrated the climax of their project with the successful free climb of an important new route on the Antarctic Peninsula: the first ascent of Three Pigs via a new route the brothers named Azken Paradisua.
The previous day, 17 April, the Pou Brothers will also give a presentation at 20:00 in the town of Sirtori at the Sport Specialist retail store, located at Provinciale Villasanta Oggiono – Localitá Bevera.
In Arco, The North FaceŽ retail store is located at Via Segantini 100. For more information about the event, contact the store at +39 0464 514001.
