missouri Road event update

For the past six years, The North Face Endurance Challenge Series has offered a unique running experience that has allowed people to push and exceed their personal limits on the trail. In 2011, The North Face proudly added Kansas City, MO as one of the six regional races and the first road event destination. Race and city organizers, an extensive logistical team, and a passionate group of participants, spectators and volunteers have been part of creating a memorable race weekend for the past two years.

With that in mind, the decision to cancel The North Face Endurance Challenge Kansas City 2013 race was extremely difficult. We appreciate the many days, hours, and several years have gone into designing an incredible course through this beautiful and historic city in coordination with Kansas City officials. As with every race organization it is our ultimate goal to provide the best possible experience to all race participants across the country. We believe the best way to do that is to give our undivided focus to improving our five regional trail races in New York, Washington D.C., Wisconsin, Georgia and California.

We want to extend a sincere apology to all runners who are affected by the cancellation. For runners currently registered for the Missouri event, we will provide a full refund of the race registration fee, and we hope registrants will also take us up on the offer to race in one of our other Endurance Challenge Series events with a complimentary race entry for the same distance.  Registered runners should have received an email from the Endurance Challenge with more information on their refund and how to redeem their complimentary entry into another Endurance Challenge Series event.  If you are registered and did not receive an email, please contact us at
