Charge into the backcountry or ride the pipe with the same waterproof HyVent® jacket that The North Face® athlete Kaitlyn Farrington will be rocking for the 2013/2014 ski season. Varied Heatseeker™ insulation places the ample warmth (100 g) throughout the main body, slightly less (80 g) in the upper body and below the powder skirt and the least (60 g) in the hood and arms for an improved warmth-to-weight ratio. An adjustable waist system creates a slimmer look that eliminates trapped air next to your mid-layers to keep you warmer. Hood secure maintains your line of vision when hucking, spinning and landing tricks. External media pocket is easily accessible so you can switch out your playlist at the top of the pipe.
A waterproof, breathable technology utilizing a polyurethane (PU) coating that consists of a tri-component, multi-layer formula for waterproof protection, moisture permeability and durability. HyVent® technology has been lab- and field-tested to ensure the best possible durability and function while also maintaining an optimum level of breathability. To test the level of waterproofness, we subjected HyVent® garments to 20 wash cycles, where garments retained an average of more than 60 PSI on the waterproofing Mullens test.
