Rush HD presents The North Face Expeditions

Light of the Himalaya

A moving story of giving back where it counts from award-winning filmmaker Michael Brown. At the heart the most formidable mountain range on earth lives a gracious people who suffer from the highest rates of cataract blindness on the planet. The North Face athlete team joins eye surgeons from Nepal and America in hopes of making a difference. This spectacular film follows the doctors' work on the Himalayan Cataract Project all the way to the summit of a 21,000-foot Himalayan giant.
"Light of the Himalaya is a trenchant, inspiring story that combines the allure of mountaineering with the vitally important efforts to cure the epidemic of cataract blindness afflicting the people who inhabit one of the world's most scenic mountain regions. This is adventure filmmaking at its finest: bold, engrossing, important, and relevant to the rapidly globalizing world we all share." -- Nick Heil
